Arc Raiders
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Quick answers to the most common Arc Raiders questions — economy, farming, survival, and crafting.
Economy & Looting
Should I sell or break down items in Arc Raiders?
For most items, sell. Breakdown is only worth it when the component value exceeds the sell price — currently only Thermal Core comes close (sell: 3,800 vs breakdown: 2,100). The only real reason to break down is if you actively need the specific components. Quest items like Memory Cores and Data Chips should always be sold; their breakdown value is negligible.
What is the highest value item in Arc Raiders?
Aphelion, Dolabra, Equalizer, and Jupiter are currently the highest sell-value items at 27,500 each. These are legendary weapons that drop from endgame bosses and high-tier chests. Bobcat IV and Tempest IV are the next highest at 27,000.
What items are worth the most per kilogram in Arc Raiders?
Raider Hatch Keys are by far the best value-per-weight item at 200,000/kg. Other top efficiency items include Lance's Mixtape (50,000/kg), Breathtaking Snow Globe (35,000/kg), Playing Cards (25,000/kg), and Familiar Duck (23,333/kg). All of these items have exceptional carry efficiency and should always be looted when found.
How does the stash value calculator work?
Enter any item name and quantity. The calculator instantly returns total sell value, total breakdown value, and a recommendation (sell, break down, or keep) based on the item's values and category. You can add multiple items to get a combined stash total.
Farming & Locations
Where is the best place to farm Arc Cells?
Arc Cells drop primarily from Arc Guardians in the inner zone of Arc Nexus. A full inner clear typically yields 1-3 Arc Cells. The Deep Vault also drops them but requires a squad. For solo operators, Arc Nexus inner is the optimal farm.
Where do Fusion Cells spawn in Arc Raiders?
Fusion Cells spawn exclusively in the Deep Vault and Arc Core Chamber — both endgame zones. They drop from Vault Terminals and Arc Prime. They do not spawn in mid-tier zones. You need a coordinated squad to farm them reliably.
What is the best zone for beginners in Arc Raiders?
Abandoned Factory and Crash Site are the recommended starting zones. Both have low enemy density, reliable Scrap Metal, Alloy Frame, and Arc Fragment spawns, and minimal risk of encountering other operators. They're ideal for learning extraction loops before progressing to mid-tier zones.
Where can I find Data Chips in Arc Raiders?
Data Chips spawn at Data Terminals in the Command Centre and Arc Nexus. Arc Commanders (enemies at Command Centre) also drop them. Three terminal locations in Command Centre can each yield a Data Chip per run. They sell for 2,100 each at only 0.1kg — exceptional value.
Healing & Survival
What healing items should I always carry in Arc Raiders?
At minimum: 5-10 Bandages (stop bleeds, weigh 0.1kg each) and 1-2 Med Kits. On high-risk runs, add a Trauma Kit. Bandages are the most important because bleeds can kill faster than direct damage if ignored. Never push a high-risk zone without a full healing loadout.
Should I sell Trauma Kits or keep them?
Keep them if you're running high-risk content. Sell surplus only. Trauma Kits sell for 3,200 which is strong, but a Trauma Kit used at the right moment is worth far more than 3,200 in saved loot. Only sell if you have more than you can reasonably use in the next few runs.
When should I extract instead of looting more?
Extract when: (1) you're carrying 3+ Arc Cells or equivalent high-value items, (2) you've used more than one Med Kit, (3) you're more than 2 minutes from extraction and you're loaded. The stash value calculator can help you know when a run is already profitable enough to call.
Crafting & Materials
What crafting materials should I keep vs sell?
Keep materials toward a recipe you're actively working on. Sell everything else. Scrap Metal and Alloy Frames are low-value and slow to convert — sell them unless you need exactly those for a current recipe. Circuit Board Fragments and Copper Wire are versatile enough to keep a small stack of each.
What does breaking down an Arc Cell give you?
Breaking down an Arc Cell yields 3× Crystalline Shards and 2× Energy Residue. Total breakdown value is approximately 1,800 compared to a sell price of 4,200. You should almost never break down Arc Cells — always sell them.
